We are currently looking for suitably qualified candidate to fill the following position in the Group’s subsidiary, Petra Fabricators Sdn Bhd, based in Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

Assistant Contracts Manager
Selangor 

Responsibilities:

  • Review past projects costing as inputs for future projects in aiding the process of tendering and price negotiation for project, sales department and ensures profits are made and submits for management’s approval.
  • Prepare competitive costing, reviews prices, price trends from inputs from relevant departments and tenders for projects > RM50,000.00
  • Ensure project costing are within budget and items with <5% or >5% cost variance are highlighted to the project manager for review and further action.
  • Ensure contractual terms and conditions are complied to, highlights and resolves any disputes pertaining to contractual issues with sub-contractors, suppliers and clients.
  • Review contractual terms and conditions of awarded contracts in the current market condition and evaluates the capacity and capability of Petra Boiler to undertake such contracts.
  • Compare and monitor project stock materials with updated inventory list for material allocation, wastage control and make further decision on additional stock item requisition.
  • Monitor progress of projects and submit progress claims and checks on amendments, changes to the contract with supporting documents for extension of time (EOT) from clients.
  • Performs a tender process, sources and conducts competent vendor pre-qualification in meeting with technical and commercial evaluation requirement  and negotiates  competitive price
  • Attend and clarify scope of supply, critical milestone, contract and payment terms and condition at project kick off meeting and informs relevant departments.
  • Attend the Monthly Division Meeting / project meetings (as required) to resolve critical issues.
  • Negotiate and resolve pricing issues on project variation order with clients and vendors, attend site valuation with clients and ensures progress claims are approved and ascertain commission and certification by clients are done according to terms and condition.
  • To perform any other functions that may be assigned form time-to-time
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree in Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent.
  • Systematic, organized and meticulous, manage budget well, multi-task, ability to communicate at all levels, good interpersonal skills. 
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Assistant Manager specializing in contract administration or equivalent.
  • Full-Time positions available.
