Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company Sdn Bhd (“KPOC”) is a Joint Operating Company comprising PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, ConocoPhillips Sabah Gas Ltd and Shell Energy Asia Limited and acting as Operator for the Kebabangan Cluster Production Sharing Contract, offshore Sabah, Malaysia. Pursuant to KPOC’s mission to operate the Kebabangan Cluster fields and the KBB Northern Hub facility offshore Sabah, and to develop local capabilities, KPOC wishes to invite experienced and suitably qualified candidates to join our organization.

INSPECTION ENGINEER
Kuala Lumpur

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Asset and Operating Integrity Lead in the development of inspection and implementation testing and maintenance plans for the KBB structure, topsides, pipelines and associated assets.
• Develop a comprehensive baseline inspection plan for all of the assets mentioned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years in oil and gas Industry with specific focus on In-Service Inspection & Risk Based Inspection (RBI) procedure development including one or more of the following; Fabrication inspection, QA/QC or Corrosion monitoring.
• Knowledge in NDE techniques (MPI, LP, EC, UT, RT), corrosion measurement techniques, cathodic protection systems and monitoring
• Must have API 570 or API 510 Certification.
• Having API 580 and/or API 571 certificate is/an advantage.
