Process/Reliability/Project Engineer - (Oil and Gas; Based in PD)
Port Dickson (Negeri Sembilan)

OUR CLIENT is one of the largest conglomerates in SEA and through one of its subsidiary in Fuel & Oil, it aims to be a leading provider of total customer solutions in the energy sector and its derivative businesses. (Positions will be based in Port Dickson Refinery)

Job Responsibilities:

Senior Refinery Engineer &Refinery Engineer (Process Engineer)

• Perform process engineering design and process study.
• Investigate / troubleshoot operating problems and provide solutions.
• Optimize plant operations to improve profitability.
• Monitor plant performance on a periodic basis in order to maintain high efficiency.
• Participate in plant turnaround activities and provide technical assistance in plant startup / shutdown and catalyst regeneration.
• Participate in Task force / committees and Network
• Keep abreast with latest technology with view to utilize ideas in project design and problem solving.
• Establish procedures for equipment startup / shutdown, catalyst regeneration. Also participate and supervise above jobs when assigned.

Mechanical/Inspection Engineer (Reliability Engineer)

• Performs on-stream and shutdown inspection of plant equipment and piping as directed by the Chief Inspector using all the available inspection tools and methods such as radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic and visual inspection, followed up with Inspection reports and recommendations.
• Supervises Contract Inspection Technicians and contractors in the execution of their jobs.
• Recommends choice of most suitable materials, welding procedures and repair techniques.  Witness hydrotesting of equipment, PSV, etc.
• Initiates and coordinates regular inspection of plant equipment by Government Department of Safety and Health.
• Familiarizes himself with various NDT techniques through PDR Inspection Manuals,and other standards.
• Maintains upkeeping of DOSH Certificate of Fitness (CoF) database.
• Maintains and updates equipment and piping strategies & records, Inspection files, manuals and Inspection equipment.
• Maintains upkeeping of office equipment, files, Inspection equipment and storage and dark room facilities.

 

 

Job Requirements:

• Process Engineer: Knowledge of chemical engineering, preferably, a degree in Chemical Engineering. Plant experience is not essential. For Senior engineer, 3-4 years experience in Petroleum refinery plant.
• Reliability Engineer:
  • Minimum degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
  • Registered with Board of Engineers, Malaysia
  • Preferably membership of Technical Societies such as British or American Society of NDT, NACE, PCN.
• Project Engineer: Degree in Mechanical Engineering (2nd Class Upper) with more than 5 years project experiences.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Port Dickson Refinery.
• Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Engineering - Oil/Gas or equivalent.
• Full-Time position(s) available.
