As a project Cost Estimator you will be working as a member of a global
team that provide estimates allowing for the uncertainties of our
complex projects and novel development options in a volatile market.
This means you must:
- Deliver robust and transparent cost estimates in pursuit of all project phases including trend analysis in pursuit of effective forecasting.
- Communicate the range of possible outcomes as opposed to a single value
- Ensure a clear and transparent transition from cost estimate to control budget.
- Develop estimates aligned with project execution and project contracting strategies and plans.
- Adhere to close-out processes that capture the lessons and data for future
- improvement.
- Enable effective deployment of Shell’s capital.
Requirements:
- Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Cost Estimator or equivalent experience.
- Industry experience with a minimum of 6 years in estimator positions.
- Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Fully versed with Cost Estimating principles, techniques and industry standard tools.
- Excellent understanding of all phases of project delivery processes.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with customers and external consultants.
- Ability to travel as required by business need.
